The SX applicator heads process
low- to medium-viscosity hotmelts and apply the adhesive
in a dot or bead pattern. The modularly structured applicator
heads offer numerous combination possibilities to satisfy
a multitude of requirements in all industries. The applicator
heads of the SX series can be used very individually thanks
to the variable number of jetting elements with different
valve heads, a variety of nozzles and different executions.

Different valve techniques
The jetting elements of the
SX-type heads come with needle or ball valves. With the
ball valve technique the customer can choose between valve
head 296 and the variant SX KV where the nozzle is integrated
in the valve head. Jetting elements with needle valve
close directly at the glue exit, they are self-cleaning
and ensure a maintenance-free operation.

Filters can be retrofitted
All SX applicator heads are
prepared for the installation of a filter. If necessary
a filter cartridge can simply be retrofitted to the applicator
head. The system's availability is thus increased in minimum
time without need to disconnect the heated hose.
No obstructed nozzles
The filter in the applicator
heads guarantees a safe production without downtime. It
stops contaminants such as foreign particles or residues
of adhesive from reaching the application nozzles and
prevents blockages. Deposits of plastic can form over
years of operation. When they eventually come loose, they
block the nozzles. The installation of filter cartridges
is especially recommended for older systems or dusty environments.

Exact quantity control
The quantity of applied adhesive
is determined by the adhesive pressure and the nozzle
size. Precision nozzles with different bores and in various
versions are available for the jetting elements to cope
with different production conditions. The optional fine
adjustment can be used on jetting elements with ball valves.
This for even more precise metering of the applied quantity,
without need to exchange the nozzle.
